The questions leaders actually ask

Almost certainly. The S16 Platform comes with hundreds of integrations out of the box, on a plug-in architecture so new ones slot in quickly. What we've already shipped is just a sample — payments (Stripe, MangoPay), accounting (Xero), comms and email (Twilio, Mailchimp), identity (OAuth2, Google), e-signatures (DocuSeal), AI (OpenAI, Anthropic), and mapping, address and currency lookups. If it has an API, we connect to it; for older systems that don't, we use scheduled imports, CSV feeds or controlled scraping.

We work in phases — typically a usable first build in around three weeks, then we iterate while your team tests it. No big-bang reveal months down the line.

We start with a fixed-scope first phase — typically £10k–£25k — plus a platform licence that scales with your usage rather than an open-ended day rate. Simpler tools come in lower; complex systems with multiple integrations sit higher. You'll get an itemised estimate up front, with no surprises.

Serverless infrastructure means you pay for what you actually use — often very little at low volume, scaling only as demand does. No idle servers sitting on the bill.

Yes. Clean, documented code on a stack chosen for longevity — your developers, or any competent team, can pick it up.

No. You own your whole stack — infrastructure, apps and API. It builds on S16 Platform for commoditised services like authentication and billing, the same way most systems build on Stripe or Auth0. Those modules can be swapped out individually, everything integrates over a standard API and webhooks, and we'll place the platform code in escrow on request.

Yours stays yours. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, hosted in the UK (AWS eu-west-2) by default — or any AWS/MongoDB region you specify — and backed up on a schedule we agree with you, continuous or daily. GDPR and a DPA are in the contract, with NDAs where needed.

We work to least-privilege access with MFA, and are aligned to Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001 — policies and processes in place, with formal certification in progress. We also build on independently-certified managed services (AWS, MongoDB Atlas, Stripe and the like), so their security posture underpins yours.

When the tool has to fit how you work, custom wins. But we'll tell you honestly if something off-the-shelf would serve you better — we're not here to sell you software you don't need.
